J&K Covid-19 Tally Crosses 5000-Mark

10 CRPF Trooper, 5 Cops, Doctor, Baby Among Fresh Cases

Srinagar, June 14 (GNS): Ten CRPF personnel, five policemen, a doctor and an 11-month-old baby were among 163 fresh cases of covid-19 reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. The cases which include 32 travelers take the overall tally of the covid-19 patients in the J&K to 5041.

Sources said that Shopian reported 45 cases, Kulgam 16, Baramulla 3, Srinagar 10, Anantnag 5, Kupwara 9, Bandipora 3, Budgam 11, Pulwama 33, Jammu 6, Udhampur 3, Kathua 4, Samba 8, Rajouri 1 and
Doda 6
Among the cases, 92 were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories at SKIMS Soura, 45 at CD Hospital and 11 at SKIMS Bemina.

Dr. G H Yatoo, Nodal Officer Coronavirus Control Measures at SKIMS, told GNS that out of the 1867 samples processed at the viral diagnostic lab today, 92 returned positive for the virus.
Professor Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent SKIMS Soura, told GNS among them 39 from Shopian, 17 from Kulgam, 15 from Anantnag, eight from Kupwara, five from Srinagar, three from Bandipora, two each from Baramulla and Pulwama besides one from Budgam.

Sources said that ten CRPF and five police personnel are from south Kashmir districts while doctor is from SKIMS and 11-month-old from Badamwari here and his sample was received from CMO Srinagar.

Professor Jan said the samples which returned positive were received from District Hospital Anantnag, CMO Bandipora, DH Kulgam, CHC Kupwara, Srinagar Airport, DH Shopian, SKIMS, CMO Srinagar (01) and CHC Uri (1).

Anantnag cases include CRPF 40 and 80 battalions, one male (34) and a female (26) from Hiller Kokernag, a female (35) from Batkoot Pahalgam, a female (25) from Siligam, a female (32)from Gohan , a female (25) from Pahalgam, a Male (49) from Ugjan Dialgam, a female (35) from Hakhura Anantnag and a female (25) from Shamsipora.

The airport cases include two cases from Srinagar—Male (22) from Parimpora and one female (60) from Hawal, 31-year-old male from Shangus Anantnag and 43-year-old male from Ladghoo Kulgam.

The cases from Bandipora include female (14) from Baduaab Telail, one male (44) from Saradaab Bandipora and one male (25) from Wanpora Gurez.

The cases from Baramulla include a female (22) from Baramulla, three males from Delina Baramulla aged 20, 22 & 52 years respectfully, one (22) from Reram and a female (19) from Tangmarg.

Two cases from Ganderbal include a male (66) and female (64) from Shuhama while six cases from Kupwara include one male (27) from Harie, a female (23) from Gulgam, a male (34) and a female (21) from Panzgam, a female (36) from Yamler and one male (19) from Zachaldara.

The cases from SKIMS Srinagar include a male (75) from Parraypora, a male (32) from Khonmoh, a female (8) from Natipora, a female (39) from Soura, a male (26) from Lasjan and one male (68) from Lalnagar.

The Shopian cases include a male (70) and three females— aged 55, 20 and 18 from Therin Kandi, one male (23) from Sedow and one male (40) from Mantribugh.

Dr Riyaz Untoo, Principal SKIMS Bemina, told GNS that 11 samples tested positive for COVID-19 and included nine from Budgam and two from Srinagar. The Budgam cases include M-(35) from Mirpora, M- (22) and M-(26) from Russu, three females aged (63), (23) and (20) from Warihama, F- (65), M- (40) and M- (10) from Mirpora Beerwah while those received Srinagar include M- (27) from Shopian and M- (44) from Anantnag, he said.

Sources said that 45 tested positive from the pathogen at CD hospital and include two from Rajpora Pulwama ( 01 female aged 25 & 01 male aged 55), 01 male (30) from Parigam Pulwama, one male (65) and a female (30) from Mohvij Kakapora, four males from Shopian aged 26, 21, 80 & 50, two females from Pinglish Tral aged 45 & 75, one female (29) from Meej Pampore, one male (27) from Kakapora Pulwama, one male (45) from Eidgah, five females ( 34, 60, 26, 48 & 22) and three males (29, 20, 65) from D.K Marg, six females ( 4, 8, 6, 40, 10, 25) and two males (34, 27) from Chimmer, one female (30) from Watigam, a female (28) from Yarikha and a female (22) from Gulzarabad, a female (17) from Brinal 17, a male (40) from Tral, a male (42) from Chatabal Srinagar, a male (85( from Kralpora Kupwara, and a male (29) from Tangmarg.
